King Bumi is introduced in the fourth episode of Book One: Air - The King of Omashu. An eccentric, wily, and almost insane old man, he is the most powerful Earthbender. Certainly not detered by his age and any failing his body at that age may give, his mind is still as sharp if a bit of a twist to figure out.
At first, Aang has trouble remembering him. After all, a hundred years had past but after Bumi taught him to think outside his way of thinking, Aang finally figures out who Bumi is. Bumi had been, in fact, around when Aang was, being one of his closest friends. How he became King is unknown but he rules with an iron if kind and strange hand.

PERSONALITY:
Bumi is much of a strange, old man that could very well creep you out and he'd like that. Underneath that well-trained body is a even more well-trained mind that work in harmony. He's not one to let his age get the best of him though he will use it to fool you. He always thinks outside the box and sometimes in rather bizarre taste too.
