Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Divine
Chapter Seven - The Park Trip Disaster

Tendouko leaned against the window pane, looking out at the clear, early morning skies. She had awaken early that morning, to watch a glorious sunrise that stirred something bright in her.
Until her sister passed her and she nearly hissed in rage. Again, this passed all too quickly and she felt confused, disoriented. She shook her head and stretched, still clothed in her pajamas.
"Ten-chan! Oh, Ten-chan?" Duscha knocked on the door, calling out politely. Mina eyed her before shooing her away.
"Hey, Tendouko, you decent?" Mina called out and promptly opened the door, whisking in while Duscha protested behind her. "Oh, she´s fine. Not dressed yet."
"Dressed for what?" Tendouko asked, raising an eyebrow at the beaming blonde.
"We are going to a nature park. To see the trees, flowers, earth... dirt... Well, obviously, it wasn´t my idea," Mina made sure to emphasis that. "But Kousagi.."
Almost instantly, she retorted. "No thanks, I don´t want to follow her around for her own follies."
"But I was so looking forward to it," Duscha sighed delicately. "But if you do not.." She let her lower lip tremble oh so slightly.
Tendouko crossed her arms, sighed noisily but smirked at her. "All right, all right, put the puppy look away for another time."
Duscha gave a brilliant smile. "We´ll be leaving soon, be sure to clean thoroughly."
"What are you, her mother?" Mina shook her head. "She knows how to bathe!"
"I am more than aware of that," Duscha began.
"Than what the hell are you doing?"
"Do not take that tone with me," Duscha said evenly.
"Oh, I´m so scared.." But she fled as Duscha loomed over her.
"We´ll be waiting for you," Duscha told Tendouko with a warm smile and a slight nod.

The group jostled each other. They had taken the bus and it took a long time to figure out where to sit. Kousagi attempted twice to sit next to Tendouko but her younger sister managed to evade her. She settled down next to Ami, who was busy reading a pamphlet.
"Wow! This park is a botanical place where some of the more rarer of Japan´s flowers grow almost year round," she exclaimed happily. Tendouko raised an eyebrow. "And there are some imported specimens from all over the world and on showcase."
"Must you always read about something?" Mako was sitting behind Tendouko and Ami. She reached between the seats and poked at Ami with a growing smirk.
        "Stop that!"
        "When you stop reading!"
        "I want to read this!"
        "You´re so boring!"
        "I AM not!"
        "Are too!"
        "Am not!"
"Act your age," Duscha was sitting across the aisle from Mako, who got the full strength of the glare. Mako withdrew into herself, grumbling.
Mina had her nose pressed to the window. "All the pretty shops. Are there a lot of shops at the place?"
"Probably a gift shop," Kousagi said.
"But with educational stuff," Kassidy pointed out.
"What?" Mina had been glowing in the idea of a gift shop and her dreams crashed as she stared at the girl. "That´s not fair!" Her protest came out in a whine.
Kassidy shook her head. "Aside, you need to save your money!"
        "For what?" More whining.
        "School expenses.." Oceane began.
"Hey! Mirai Queen Serenity is paying for EVERYTHING, remember?" Primavera said firmly.
"Why do you have a big bag?" Mina asked Rei, who gave a weak smile.
A double sound of meows vibrated around her. "You brought the cats?"
"They wanted to come," Rei pointed out.
Lune pressed her head out, gasping. "Elysium smells like fish breath!"
        "You´re one to talk!"
They both squawked as Rei shoved them back in with a hiss. "Not yet!"
Their protests were muffled by the top cover as Rei looked up sheepishly. "They need to have fun too."
"But they´re not going to be allowed!" Ami began, turning in her seat.
"Sit back down!" Duscha said instantly. "They wanted to come; if they get caught, it´s their own fault."
"I can stay out of trouble," this time Elysium stuck his head out first, glaring at the world. "I don´t know about Pinkie here."
        "Don´t call me that!"
"Then next time don´t complain about my breath!"
"I can´t help it, you´re taking up all the oxygen!"
        "I am not!"
The sound of chatter and occasional arguments, mostly between the two cats, ensured before they arrived at the Hanazono park. The cats safely stowed back in the large bag, slung over now Mako´s shoulder, the group treaded to the entrance.
"Tickets cost one hundred yen, please," the cashier said pleasantly. The group paid in full and continued on their way.
"I think we should split up," Rei began. "I mean, we´re a big group and some of us," she stared pointedly at Ami. "Will take too long walking around. Whoever wants to come with me, follow!"
"I should lead!" Mina stated firmly.
"You?" Primavera shook her head. "You aren´t the boss of me!"
"I will lead," Duscha said pleasantly. "Rei can come with me."
"I´m going to stay with Ami," Mako nodded. Mina frowned. "I´m going with Rei and Duscha."
"I´m staying with Ami," Kousagi added. She smiled at Tendouko. "How about we hang with each other?"
Tendouko shrugged. "I´m going with Duscha. I really don´t want to listen to Ami blab about everything."
"I do not!" Ami´s protest went unheard.
So Rei, Duscha, Tendouko, and Mina went one path. Kousagi, Ami, Mina, Mako, Kassidy, and Oceane went the other path.
Kousagi sighed tiredly. "I thought we could spend time together," she lamented in general.
Kassidy patted an arm. "Don´t worry, she´s just growing up. She´ll settle and then you two will be the bestest friends ever!"
        "Bestest?" Ami asked.
"Don´t correct me," Kassidy pointed out.
The smaller group was finding themselves in the rose gardens. "Wow.." Tendouko breathed. "So beautiful.."
"Reminds me of home," Elysium agreed.
She jumped. "Where´d you come from?"
"Mako let us out. You actually thought I´d stay there with Pinkie?"
Tendouko smirked. "You like her, don´t you?"
"I do not," he glared. "I keep myself dedicated to my duties. I have no time for anything else."
"I bet it´s a massive crush," Tendouko began to wander in the gardens. The deep, sweet scent of the various roses, in vibrant colors of yellow to red with a few white rose bushes dotted over the area. The others had also separated, exploring on their own terms, though Mina and Rei stuck together. Duscha made sure to not go too far from Tendouko, her keen eyes glancing every so often at her friend.
Tendouko was handling a classic red rose, the bush in full bloom. The petals felt soft to her touch and the sweet scent was almost overpowering.
        ‘Darling Terrene..´
Her eyes closed slowly, her throat tightening. A heartache filled her.
‘Open your eyes, child of Earth..´
Her eyes edged open, the glittering blue shining brilliantly as the symbol she bore as a Princess gleamed upon her brow. She found herself clad in her Princess dress.
And she found herself standing in front of a series of crystal pillars, rose beds circling around them, leaving only a straight path. She followed it, the end trails of her dress following with step by step. "Who´s there?" She called out weakly. She hated that she sounded so weak.
"I´ve been waiting," a soft wind blew and a cloak of deep violet fluttered before a tall man stepped out from the shadows. Warm blue eyes with aged lines carefully aligned on his chiseled features. His raven black hair, cropped shortly to his scalp, curled just so slightly. "I am King Endymion."
She took a step back. "The great King of Earth and Elysium!" She gasped. "You´re.."
        "Your grandfather," he said easily.
She took a double take. "But then, how..." She trailed off, her thinking gathering until she said timidly. "To Cosmos-sama?"
His eyes misted over. "I am nothing more than a shadow, of what I was now exists elsewhere."
        "I don´t understand..."
"It was a decision I had decided," He moved gracefully. He neared and stopped close to her. She studied him before reaching out and her fingers misted through his right bicep. "This is only a hologram, the second to last piece of me to exist for the sole purpose of talking to you."
        "Me?" She asked, incredously. "Why?"
"Because of my gift to you." Standing in front of her, he was impossibly tall and she fluttered back. "Don´t be afraid, Terrene, for within you, I have given you my powers."
Her eyes widened. "Is that how I´m a sailor senshi?"
        "Yes."
"Not because of my mother, my father? I didn´t inherit.."
"You inherited my starseed, my Golden Crystal. The source of dreams and hope of Elysium, passed down to you and you alone."
        "I was born with it?"
He hesitated then. "No, not quite. It was given to you, as a gift and a promise."
        "A promise to what?"
"You´ll find that out soon." His fingers brushed a cheek, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Darling Terrene, don´t lose hope. Without that, you will not be you anymore. You have the strength and light within to do great things but only if you truly hope and believe in yourself."
"This is the part where you mention Kousagi," Tendouko said bitterly.
"I don´t have to. I know you´ll do the right thing," He pulled away, the hologram beginning to fizzle out. "If ever you need me, look within and you will find me."
"Wait!" She reached out, frozen to the spot.
"Do me one favor.. tell her... we... waiting....for her..." The voice broke and started as he turned to momentary charges before she covered her face.
        "I don´t understand.."
"Don´t understand what? I´m hungry!" Elysium sat underneath her. She blinked, frowning. "You were staring into nothing for, like, five minutes. You didn´t hear a word I said, did you?" He asked accusingly.
Tendouko´s head throbbed. Something hurt, deep within her. A conflicting emotion of something dark cloaked in something she couldn´t understand.
The surge of the floor startled her out of her confusion, as she stumbled back. A animalistic shriek echoed as poor Elysium had his tail stepped on and then was struggled to submerge from under Tendouko.
Duscha moved forward without thinking. "Princess!"
Duscha felt the world suck around her. ‘You wish to fight?´ A familiar voiced ebbed into her thoughts.
A memory, not so deeply buried, so often analyzed, surfaced. A much younger Duscha, in her hometown, her home country, looking across the seas with a look of utter faith. A young girl as age six who always knew that she had something no one else had. A feeling, an emotion that she held to tightly.
"Tell me, little one, what do you see?" A figure stood behind the small girl. Duscha looked up at the strange-clad woman.
"I see the endless," Duscha looked back over the waters
"I am Sailor Cosmos, Duscha. Does that mean anything to you?"
Duscha seemed to ponder this. "Are you the one who will help me be who I am?" Clear eyes looked up. Old eyes, familiar to the sailor senshi. Cosmos-sama released a slow breath, fingers splaying as the Silence Glaive formed.
"This is yours, Duscha. You are a protector of a great person, of a great future. In your hands, you hold great powers."
And yet, as Duscha clasped her small hands around that long weapon, her eyes filled with tears. "To end a worlds.. is nothing to me," her eyes looked up defiantly. "I will never use this." She stated coolly. "There is always one other way."
"Don´t forget that, Duscha," Sailor Cosmos straightened. Her eyes were bright. "Please.. don´t lose hope."
And that voice, that had once in a while seemed to seek her out, ever since that day she had held that volatile weapon, came to her the strongest it ever had.
‘Yes,´ came a throbbing sound of power, of will that would remain unbroken. Heat blossomed from her breast, her heart quickening as a crystal, a multi-pointed starburst coming from a rounded center formulated to attach to a beaded chain.
‘I give you my powers, of my planet of Destruction. Awaken the sleeping star within!´
"Saturn Divine Power, Make Up!" Duscha waved the necklace in the air as a black orb formed to erupt in waves over her to break away from the shining pillar of light that vibrated around her. It cleared as she stood clad in her fuku.
Her sailor collar was completely violet with a  yellow tiara that in the center was the sign of Saturn. Her bodice was full bodied; she hadn´t any shoulder rolls but loose gray fabric that hung out about two inches from the shoulder attachment; her waistband was flat and dipped in the middle of her front,  colored gray with the sign of Saturn in its center. The black choker had a multi-pointed gray starburst in its center and her brooch was a multi-pointed gray starburst. Her skirt was two layered, the top violet, the bottom black. She had two bows, both bows were exactly the same - the top portion was black, the bottom was white but there was additional long, slender gray tails that came from above the bow. Only difference between the two were that the back bows´ gray tails trailed to past her knees. She wore elbow length, violet gloves with two armbands. The topmost roll was gray, the bottom was white. Her shoes were knee high, black boots with flat heels with thick, gray shoelaces on each that covered the length of the leg, ending at her ankles. The bow was squat and wide. She wore  violet round studs with dangling violet diamonds.
And the Silence Glaive formed in front of her. She hesitated upon taking it. She still believed that there were others ways, but maybe there were other ways of using this weapon?
"Obscure Paper Chained!" The Silence Glaive was swung in a wide arc in front of her, a long black paper chain following forward in a rapid speed.
She stared forward at a strange creature, the chain digging into the thing as it roared. It was a shadow made physical, of a monstrous nightmare as red eyes gleamed out. It´s hollow mouth opened as it ripped the chain off it and limped backwards.
‘I hurt it..´ Duscha was surprised about that. It was an attack like a paper cut and yet, it was sharper than that.
"Terrene Divine Power.." Tendouko staggered to her feet, Elysium still glaring at her. "Make Up!" She transformed as the two girls stood poised.
"What happened to the others?" Tendouko asked quickly.
"Left the room not that long ago."
"Wanna see if we can do this on our own?" Tendouko smirked.
"If we win, you promise you won´t let it go to your head?" Duscha quipped back.
        "I swear it."
"Then let´s do it!" She aimed. "Obscure Paper Chained!"
"Terra Blade!" Her sword formed in her fingers as she shouted. The yellow crescent energy was encircled by the chain as it struck and barreled into the being.
And light before, the blackness was chipped away, as the light ruptured from underneath, a white gleaming source glittering before it faded into nothing.
"We did it!" Tendouko hopped around with glee. "High five!" She raised a hand expectantly.
Duscha was staring where the monster had been. "What?" Tendouko asked finally.
"That.. white light, it was almost..." she pressed a hand against her chest automatically, transforming back to civilian. "Never mind," she grinned sheepishly at Tendouko. "I did not think we could do it alone."
        "But we can!"
        "Not always," Duscha corrected.
"What happened!?" Mina came storming in from outside the green house area, followed by Rei. "I felt something!"
"A little late," Rei quipped, watching Tendouko transform back to civilian. "What did happen?"
"An sudden attack. It made no sense, only targeting Tendouko, it seemed to me," Duscha said carefully.
"My tail," came a loud, lamenting voice. "It´s broken! AGAIN!"
        Tendouko frowned. "Stop complaining!"
"And your fat head crushed me!" Came the indignant howl.
"That´s it!" Tendouko tore off after Elysium.
"Why would it be after Tendouko?" Mina mused. "She´s not the official Heir to the throne. It doesn´t make sense."
Tendouko had flinched, hearing what Mina said. A onset of anger filled her, her back straightening. "Maybe I was important enough to strike!" She retorted to the blonde.
"Ten-chan, no one should want to be hurt," Duscha said gently.
"It´s like suicide!" Rei added sharply.
"But just because I won´t be Queen.."
"I didn´t mean that!" Mina cried out.
"Of course not!" Tendouko screamed. "No one ever had the guts to tell it to my face! I know I´m a failure! You happy now?"
The sudden silence was too much for Tendouko as she turned and fled.
"I.. I didn´t mean.." Mina whispered, her fingers weaving in her hair, eyes welling up.
"It´s not your fault," Rei said soothingly. "She´s just.. acting different."
Duscha was silent, watching the way that  Tendouko had left in. Her eyes were clouded. ‘Tendouko, why won´t you talk to us?´
