CHAOS FINALE
Episode Eight: An Artist´s Family

Story settings; on a satellite of Uranus, three young girls are all striving in their artistic abilities. It is only by the sudden loss of their beloved father that they discover within themselves a Sailor Crystal, a new type of ability.

Opening
The moon, Bianca, is a small and quaint location of soft-spoken and gentle people. They have suffered greatly by the loss of several of their own. Three sisters are suddenly at a loss of a father who gives them a gift befitting each one, an awakening star.

A small girl skipped down the sidewalk, her hair flinging side to side with each bounce. She had mineral orange hair, drifting down to end just above her buttocks. She had two long strands for bangs, that curled outward to cover her ears. She wore her hair halfway up in a twisted braid, that flung even more than the loose hair. Her bright, sky blue eyes sparkled as she giggled. Coming to a stop in front a looming yard, well-kept and perfectly clean, she spotted the hover car and let out a wild squeal.
"PAPA!" She zoomed up the steps, having crossed the yard with a gleeful smile. The screen door flew open as she shouted again, at the top of her lungs. "PAPA!"
A sound of loud thumps echoed as a tall man, with a full set of mineral orange hair on his face and chin, came running out with open arms. "Bry!" He boomed. He lifted her effortlessly in the air, spinning into the wings of an helicopter. "In for the landing!"
"Whee!" She jumped up and down the instant her feet touched the ground. "Again! Again!"
"Oh, honey, my back," he complained playfully, leaning over like a hunched old man. "Kiss to make it better?"
        She noisily smacked his cheek.
"And I am recharged!" He lifted her again in the air, spinning until he had to set her down from the dizzying movement.
"Dad, must you baby her?" An older girl, with the same colored hair and eyes, grumbled. Her bangs was thick over her eyes, parted in the far left midpoint of the top of her head to curl in at nose point. It reached halfway down her thighs. With her arms crossed, her foot tapping, she looked almost jealous of the attention.
"Avon, now be good. I thought you got too old for the helicopter," he grinned broadly.
"I have but I would think Bryony had too. She has to grow up," Avon snorted.
        "You´re just jealous cause I´m Daddy´s girl."
"That´s not something to be proud of," Avon shook her head. "Dad, tell her!"
He scratched his beard. "I beg to differ. It´s nice being the center of attention."
She rolled her eyes. "It´s not fair to play favorites."
"I love all of my children equally. If I had to do favorites, your mother is first in line."
The sound of tapping above them was a sudden noise as they all looked up. "Leyla must be practicing again." Avon commented.
"Gah, she´s noisy! Papa, make her be quiet?" Bryony asked with big eyes.
"If she has to stop dancing, you can´t act then," he nodded sagely.
"Ha ha," Avon jabbed at her.
"And you´d have to stop cheering."
"Dad, I didn´t do anything!" She emphasized ‘do´ strongly with wide eyes to show her innocence.
"You all need to learn to get along better."
"If someone didn´t have us at close ages, that would´ve helped," Avon pointed out.
"Not necessarily true," he wagged a finger in front of the two. "You´re just different from each other. You need to find a common link."
"Whatever," Avon waltzed over, giving him a loud kiss with a slow smile. "Mom´s making your favorite!" She winked. "Wedding anniversary?"
"Oh, I don´t...." It took a moment for it to hit him. "Already? Oh, boy, I´ll be in hot water if I don´t get her a gift," he turned toward the door. "If she asks, I´m out for a drive for inspiration."
"Daddy, take me with you!" Bryony wailed.
"Shh!" He hissed. "Now, honey, I.. Well, you can help me pick out something.."
"Dad, you´ll need an older person´s input, I want to come!"
"Oh, oh, if you´re all going, let me go!" A slender version of the two other girls appeared. With the trademark mineral hair cut in an A bob, the front strands of her hair long to curl outward at the chin and short tufts for bangs, her hair was trimmed to the higher length of the nape. Her cheerful sky blue eyes shone as she moved down two steps at a time.
"Leyla, what about your practice?" He asked genially.
"I can do it later," she smiled gently. "Shall we go?"
        "Bye, Mommy!" Bryony called out.
"Shh!" Avon wrapped an hand hurriedly over the still moving lips of her youngest sister. "Quick, before she asks!" She dragged out Bryony as the little sister wiggled.
He sighed. "Oh, this will be fun." He waved to his middle child. "Come on, honey."
The hover car was an old brand but it was reliable. Colored a once brilliant tan, it looked like silvered tan at the age it was. It was only a few inches off the ground but as they buckled themselves in, it zoomed up a few feet higher and took off with speed of sixty mph.
"Whee!" Bryony was sitting in the front, singing to the radio.
"What about this store?" Their father asked the girls in the back. It was a general store but Avon pointed to the smaller one that looked sparkly and fancy.
"I don´t know.." he hemmed and hawwed but grinned foolishly as he parked. "Now, what should we get your mother?"
        "A card?" Bryony offered.
"That too," he ruffled her hair affectionately.
        "Perfume?" Avon suggested.
"No, no! Jewelry! She was eyeing a really nice necklace and bracelet set." Leyla was wiggling with excitement.
He nodded. "All right then! Let´s go!" He clapped his hands together gleefully. "Hopefully she won´t ask when I got this for her!"
The younger girls pranced with glee as Avon nodded and examined the ones the father picked out. It was finally decided upon a small chain of pale white diamonds with a large pink heart shaped crystal with a silver pearl lining upon the outside.
"Beautiful," he breathed. "Just like your mother, eh?"
"Here´s a card, Daddy!" Bryony waved it with a huge smile.
"You girls can sign it and give it to her," he gave his purchases to the cashier and then the credit card. He smiled and nodded at the man as the items were rung up.
"Thank you, come again," the cashier smiled as the group headed out
"She´s going to love it!" Avon beamed as Bryony danced around Leyla. Leyla agreed as he pressed the car key, the doors flying upward open.
        "I´ll bet," he agreed.
As the car pulled up high in the skies, the last of the sun´s rays falling over to blind them momentarily, the motion of the car pulled fast as the wind caught and they were on their way home.
It was a quiet early evening with little traffic as their father drove. The sisters sat in remarkable silence, lost in their own thoughts.
He turned into the driveway only a few moments, opening the doors with a flourish. "You all head in first, I´ll go wrap this in the garage."
They jumped out as he pulled into the open garage. It closed soundlessly as Avon turned toward Bryony.
"Make sure to be quiet and not say anything. In fact, just shut up and don´t say a word," she ordered her youngest sister.
"Don´t tell me what to do!" Bryony glared.
"Let´s not fight. It´s a day of celebration, even if Dad forgot," Leyla giggled.
"He always forgets," Avon pointed out, chuckling.
They entered more or less as one group as the smell of sweet and tangy assaulted their senses. "Wow, Mom is really going out, huh?" Leyla nodded with a eager look.
"My mouth is watering already," Avon agreed.
"I´m so hungry!" Bryony ran ahead.
"Remember, not a word!" Avon hissed as the door swung to bang on the inside of the kitchen wall and cascade out to the hallway, hitting the wall with less force.
Their mother was a pale and fragile looking woman. With white blond hair cut up in soft spiked ends at the base of her head, her sky blue eyes sparkled. She had a slender build with thin limbs. "Well, well, I wonder where you all went," she mused out loud.
Bryony opened her mouth before Avon ungraciously hit the back of Bryony´s head. "Nothing much to say, Mom. I have to say it smells delicious in here!"
"I can´t wait to try it!" Leyla beamed. "Dad´s going to love it!"
"Ah!" A hand raised in a stop gesture as their father was halfway through the doorframe. Their mother grinned widely. "Not another step! Just turn back around, mister, and let us girls finish up in here."
"Ah but.. just a little taste?" He asked hopefully.
She waltzed over to him and leaned up before affectionately flicking his nose. "Nope, get your tushie out of here."
He sighed, a phony sound of annoyance before he winked at the girls. "All right, I´ll let the womenfolk do as they will."
"You can have clean up duty," Avon offered.
Bryony giggled as Leyla grinned the same wide smile their mother expressed.
"All right, girls, let´s finish up in here," she clapped her hands as the door finished swinging. Having already completed a great deal, all that was left was the table and salad. The girls all sang with their mother, who had a soft soprano undertone, a sultry melody.
Their father sat in the main seat of the dining table, leaning close to hear the song that their mother had written for him for their first anniversary. It was a tradition of theirs for her to sing and having their daughters join in was a greater part for him.
He hurriedly wiped his eyes before looking very innocent as the food was brought out.
"So many dishes to clean," Leyla teased.
As they finally settled, he raised a wine glass to his wife. "To another year with my beloved."
"And for fresh start of our continuing love," she added.
"Hear, hear!" Avon raised her glass. Her father eyed the drink suspiciously.
"Avon, that´s not wine, is it?"
        "No?" She asked weakly.
He wiggled his fingers as she gave her best ‘I´m a grown up´ look. "But Dad, just a sip?"
"Nope," He poured the small amount to his glass. "Nice try, though. Almost fooled me," He grinned.
It was a loud dinner, despite the romantic intentions. As night fell closer and the dessert was eaten up, the gifts were exchanged. Their mother loved the necklace, exclaiming over it with gusto as their father received an prestigious watch brand.
The whole family were cleaning up as their father drudged up the garbage. "Going to take this out to the curb," he told them. "And I shall see you in while," he left a quick kiss to their mother.
"Awww.." Bryony sighed though she thought over something for a moment. "What did he mean, Mommy?"
She pretended to be very into cleaning the counter. "Oh, what, honey?" She asked weakly.
Avon blinked at another garbage pail. "It´s full here too." She tugged it up, effectively tying it. "Dad can be so lazy," she grinned as she ran out the door. "Hey Dad!"
He had just turned around, his mouth opening when the winds picked up and his shadow filled out and upward, throwing him a few feet forward.
Avon´s shriek brought out the rest of the family. "Daddy!" Bryony screamed.
His voice came out weakly. "Get the children out of here!" He tried to stand as the demonic creature´s black wings formed, spreading out as the wind bit forward, sending him back onto his side. Slashes were visible on his body, blood falling.
"Leave him alone!" Avon ran forward. Their mother attempted to grasp her but the wind set them all back as their father was approached by the creature.
"I.. will not.. allow you to hurt my family.." He stood up painfully. It shone brilliantly upon his forehead, a strange symbol of deep maroon. "We will prevail over the darkness and win with the light.."
He wove his hand in the air, a strange streak of pale violet energy sending the demon thrashing to the side. He turned toward his family, his eyes looking bleak.
"Remember..." His voice was gentle. "Together, we are whole. We will win, believe in that.."
His body turned to dust from the demon´s strikes, a strange crystal left behind before it dispersed into three separate balls of light that enveloped into the bodies of the three sisters.
"Papa.." Bryony stared hollowly at the spot where he stood. The watch lay against the cement, shining dully. "No.."
Their mother´s voice was thick. "No... not this.. not us.." Her hand pressed against her lips as the demon brought their attention as it screamed. Having lost it´s target, it was staring them down, inching as its mouth opened, the long fangs growing longer as its screech echoed.
"We have to protect Mom," Leyla said quickly. "We must do as Dad wanted. Work together!"
She raised a hand, a pen forming in the grasping fingers. "Nix Power, Make Up!" Black wings formed from her back, covering her to form into an egg shape. It cracked with threads of light exposing as she emerged from it, dressed in her senshi fuku. Her tiara was golden yellow with a black oval gem. Her choker, collar, thick armband, and calf-length tipped boots were a blue-green. The collar had a black stripe and her back bow, with a three thronged bow and long, slender tails, were also black. Her waistband was flat and black as well. At the center of the band was a yellow five pointed star. The additional fabric fluffed out at the edges of the waistband, feathered shoulder pads, arm length gloves, and tights were a silver color. Her brooch was a eight pointed star, outlined in yellow with a center of blue-green, with six feathered bits, alternating between blue-green and silver. The silver bits were longer than the blue-green bits.
"Charon Power, Make Up!" Avon´s shadow turned to silver, mist forming up as she fell backwards, swallowed before pulling upward, dressed in her own fuku. Her tiara was golden yellow with a black oval gem. Her choker, collar, thick armband, and ballet shoes were a dark red. Her brooch was a eight pointed star, outlined in yellow with a center of dark red, with six feathered bits, alternating between dark red and silver. The silver bits were longer than the dark red bits.
"Hydra Power, Make Up!" Her shadow turned into a blacken cobra that wrapped around her before its head piece flared out. It turned to a pale mucus, falling down as her fuku formed. Her tiara was golden yellow with a black oval gem. Her choker, collar, thick armband, and ankle boots, with a yellow frilled trim at the top, were a dark turquoise. Her brooch was a eight pointed star, outlined in yellow with a center of dark turquoise, with six feathered bits, alternating between dark turquoise and silver. The silver bits were longer than the dark turquoise bits.
"I am Sailor Charon, the Guiding Soul!"
"I am Sailor Nix, the Eclipsed Night!"
"And I´m Sailor Hydra, the Poisonous Kiss!"
"Be prepared to face Death!" The three of them shouted as one as power gathered in them.
"Nix Night Breeze!" Leyla´s black wings formed and pumped, streams of air to slash against the beast. It reared and lunged.
"Charon´s Guiding Styx!" Avon had a wooden oar form in her fingers, spinning wildly as a white misted barrier formed. The beast hit as she let out a hiss of pain.
It hit again, almost causing her to falter.
"Hydra Serpentine Gaze!" Bryony´s eyes widened, as the beast jerked and turned to a silvery gray color.
"Charon´s Ghostly Wail!" Avon´s cry turned to an energy-visible screech that dug forward to hit the enemy.
"Nix Eclipsed Night!" Leyla gathered moonlight to beam forward as the creature, struggling from Avon´s attack, shuddered before fading away into black dust.
They stood together and they all could hear, as if he were still there, the voice of their father. ‘Do not forget... we will win if we just believe. Even in the darkest, a light will shine...´
