CHAOS FINALE
Episode Nine: A Father´s Legacy

Story settings; three girls at a crossroad; where to go or what to do when you´ve faced a side of yourself that would endanger those around you? The solution is simple but heart wrenching, they must leave to find others like themselves and to leave behind all that they´ve known.

Opening
Somewhere on the Uranusian moon, Bianca, it´s an early morning that proves difficult. The night before should´ve been a wondrous occasion. The parents´ wedding anniversary, the celebration with the family, and yet, tragedy happens when the father is targeted. Three girls are presented by a powerful gift divided by three at the death of their beloved father.
And with this gift, they grapple with ideas that they´ve never even dreamed of. And a decision is crucial - stay and likely be targeted with the chance of losing their mother or head out in hopes of finding others like them to figure out what they´re mean to do?

‘Do not forget... we will win if we just believe. Even in the darkest, a light will shine...´
"Daddy! DADDY!" Bryony´s wail dragged as she fell to her knees. "Come back! Please! Come back!" Her sobs shook her small frame as she covered her face with her palms. "Daddy..." She hiccupped thickly.
Avon stared where the monster had stood, stunned speechlessly. Their mother was trying desperately to get Bryony inside as Leyla´s body shook. Her eyes were filled with tears but her jaw was set tightly.
"We have to go," she said simply before turning to head inside. Bryony continued to cry, now soundlessly with dry hiccupping and Avon merely stood there. She didn´t remember going in but she remembered them all gathering in their parents´ bed, curled against their mother as if they were all toddlers again.
In the morning, the sun´s rays drifted into the spacious room. All but one were still in bed. "Leyla?" Their mother called out weakly. "Leyla!" A note of panic and the other sisters were running out to see her down the stairs in front of the doorway.
Dressed and ready to go, a bag strewn over her shoulders, she looked up at them. "We need to go." She said carefully.
"What are you talking about?" Their mother was halfway down the stairs. "You.. you can´t, Leyla. You´re just a child."
"Are you nuts, Leyla? We can´t leave Mom! Not now!" Avon glared. "What are you thinking?"
"Mom is in more danger. That.. thing came for Dad, knowing he was.. he had been... what we are now. If we stay, she´ll get hurt."
        "Bullshit!"
        "AVON!"
"NO! I won´t stand for this. We stay here!"
        "We can´t!"
        "I´m not leaving!"
"I will not lose anymore!" Leyla screamed. "Watching others in fear, seeing those monsters, watching Dad fade, I won´t stand it anymore! I´m going to fight for him, in his honor! To protect all that I can because we have to believe!"
"But Daddy died. We would die," Bryony whimpered.
"I would rather die trying than to give up like a coward," Leyla bit out.
Avon was down the stairs so fast, she was blurred at the edges. She lunged with a scream of rage. "Coward! COWARD!" Fingers clawed as the two girls fought physically.
"Stop it!" Their mother attempted to get in between them. "Please, for the love of God, stop fighting!"
She managed to intervene, yanking the two to the sides. Both had their sides heaving as they glared at each other. "We.. we need time to think," their mother said weakly. "Leyla, you mean well but you´re a child and.."
"I´m leaving," she said very softly. She turned slowly, her eyes glazing with unshed tears. "I love you, Momma. I´ll be back, I promise."
"You´re not going anywhere!" Avon shouted.
"You don´t want to understand, fine! But I´m following what Dad wanted us to!"
"Mommy?" Bryony grasped their mother´s pants leg. Her questioning eyes peered up.
Her own eyes closed, the tears falling as they opened slowly. "Leyla... is right." Her voice was monotone, wobbly at best. "You have something in each that can be worth... worth fighting with. You are the best bet for our salvation."
"Mom.. we can´t just leave you.." Avon´s strangled whisper spoke of her agony.
"I won´t be far from you. We are all linked together, Avon, as one entity. By working together can we all be whole," her hand brushed through her oldest hair. "I believe in you."
"Mommy..." Their mother knelt down to Bryony´s level.
"Listen to your sisters, Bryony, and be brave. I know you can do great things."
"Mom, please, listen to yourself," Avon began.
"No, Avon, listen to your own self. You cannot stay, you have to go. I need you to watch over your sisters for me and make sure you all make it home. Please."

Lupinus stared down at the small town. He had come for a conference but he´d never been on Bianca and was currently exploring. And he simply found it like any other place in the world.
He was a little disappointed. Until the three girls all marched past him with grim faces of great determination.
He was momentarily blinded by the silver auras surrounding them as he attempted to turn and went into a building wall.
"Are you all right?" Leyla was closest as she looked up at him. He shook his head.
"You´re shiny!" Bryony jabbed at him in his stomach. He winced as he gently pulled the offending hand. "Hiya!"
"Stop that!" Avon whacked her youngest sister whose eyes filled with tears.
Lupinus struggled with his emotions. Overcome already by his sister and cousins, adding more would be a high risk for his heart. But he had to ask.
"Where are you going?" He sounded slightly resigned.
"To fight evil!" Avon saluted him stiffly.
        "Really?" He asked skeptically.
"What the hell do we know?" She snapped, crossing her arms. Her toe tapped. "We´re following genius over here!" She jutted a thumb at Leyla who studied him.
"Are you... a fighter too?" She asked delicately.
He let out a gust of air. "I am known as Ganymede, the Life Provider, a soldier of the Jupiter Satellites."
"And you are?" He asked with a wave of a hand.
"I am Avon Terpsichore, also Sailor Charon, the Guiding Soul."
"I am Leyla Terpsichore, known as Sailor Nix, the Eclipsed Moon."
"And I´m Bryony Terpsichore, Sailor Hydra, the Poisonous Kiss."
He smiled gently. "Of the Pluto Satellites. And surprisingly, you´re a lot like my family. We four make up the main part of the Jupiter Satellites."
        "The main part?" Avon asked.
"Yes. I think.. or rather, I feel, that we´re not completely whole, like I´m missing a few persons."
"We will be as one," Leyla´s smile was sad. "Our father said so."
"I´m not sure if I agree with that but if you need a helping hand..." He trailed off.
Bryony tugged on Avon´s shirt. "We should listen," she said pointedly.
"I don´t know. It´s bad enough that this happened, what if we..."
"This is what we wanted. To find others to join and fight," Leyla said quietly from behind her two sisters.
Avon looked irked. "How did I know you were going to open your mouth?"

"Lupinus is back!" Tulipa called out. Sela was chasing Lavandula, who surprisingly was having fun. Their childish laughter echoed as Bryony caught the noise and took off.
There was a general meeting, handshaking and then Bryony was off chasing after the two others as they howled in laughter.
"Great, more energetic children," Rosa muttered.
"Hello," Leyla said politely. Rosa eyed her, measuring her in a gaze before nodding in greeting.
"Want to see my garden?" Rosa waved her forward as they went around the back.
"I´m sorry for the inconvenience..." Avon began.
"Forget it. I can see the shine and get the gist. We have plenty of room."
        Lupinus coughed noisily.
"As long as his majesty is happy about it."
Avon smiled at him. "If he wasn´t, he wouldn´t have asked."
"I beg to differ," Tulipa nodded sagely. "He does things to be gentlemanly. He usually doesn´t like that."
"I´m offended, greatly offended," he marched off with an injured pride.
"I´m Tulipa Dianthe. That is my sister, Lavandula and that is my cousin, and Lupinus´s sister, Rosa."
"I´m Avon Terpsichore. That was Leyla with Rosa, and Bryony with Lavandula and... uh..."
"Sela Winterlynn. She´s a bit... OCD, if you will. Where are your things?"
"We just have the bags on our shoulders. We left in a hurry, thanks to Miss Know-it-all."
        "And that would be?"
"Leyla. Believe me, try to ignore her."
"So you´re saying she was wrong?" Tulipa tilted her head thoughtfully.
"Oh... well, not always. I´m the oldest though and.."
"Stop right there. You are a lot like Lupinus. He thinks he knows best but sometimes it´s good to try other ideas. Believe me, you keep thinking like that and you´ll get a swelled head."
"My head is not big!" Lupinus glared, having missed the majority of the conversation. He stomped forward, holding a medical book in his hand. "I cannot believe..."
"That you would hear the last bit of a sentence and not bother asking what we were talking about? For shame, Lupinus."
He glared as she stuck her tongue out. He threw his hands up in disgust. "Girls.. why did you all have to be girls?"
"I take offense to that!" Avon and Tulipa glared at him.
He grumbled as he turned to face Leyla and Rosa. The other three were making their way, interested in the gathering.
"Great.. just great. I need to get ready for work so if you don´t mind.." He inched around them, still grumbling.
"He´s such a baby," Tulipa sighed. "I suppose we should sign you all up for school."
        "No!" Bryony wailed.
        "Yes!" Leyla beamed.
"Hope I can get on the cheerleading squad," Avon mused.
"Oh, that is awesome!" Tulipa nodded. "With the pom-poms in the air and the leg splitting.. I wince just thinking about it."
"Hey, I do what I like and you do.. whatever it is you do."
        "Sports," Tulipa said sagely.
"Well.. we could play side by side," Avon mused.
"That´s the positive way!" Tulipa looped an arm around her with a big grin. "But first, we have to get you all in!"

Not too far away, Carmen was walking rapidly next to Adam. "Slow down! I may have four legs but their leg span is so much less than yours!"
"I´m sorry," he knelt down. "I need to get home or else Father will be angry."
"I don´t understand why you just don´t move out," Carmen grumbled.
"I did move out," he pointed out absently.
"Then why are you heading there? It´s not home when you don´t live there!"
"Father was explicit for me to head there for tonight."
        "And why would that be?"
"I... kind of was seen with someone he disliked," Adam sighed, coming to a stop. "I wonder if this would  be divine punishment."
"For what?" Carmen shifted on his shoulder, her tail flipping with little regard to balance.
"It´s nothing," he pulled out a beaten locket, the color dulled. He clicked it open and saw his face, years younger, with his oldest brother, deceased since that awful attack.
"Who´s that?" Carmen peered at the older brother. "Looks just like you."
        "Really? I can´t see it."
"It´s the eyes, the gentle smile," Carmen smiled. "Where is he?"
"He died, from an group attack by youma. He was my best friend."
"I´m sorry," Carmen sighed. "If we could just solve all of the problems.."
"Well, that´s what we´re here for," Adam put the locket away. "I really should go see Father..."
"Hey!" A hand came down on his shoulder. "Hello there!" Gwydion smiled widely. "Adam, right?"
Adam´s eyes had grown huge as his face turned red. Gwydion gave a weak smile. "Ah, yes, well, I need to take Carmen."
        Carmen glared.
"And since Heloise is cooking a great meal, why not join me.. us?" He hurriedly corrected himself.
"I get it," Adam said carefully.
        "What? Get what?"
        "You´re straight, I´m...I´m...."
Carmen dug a claw into Adam´s shoulder." Not," he managed. "But we can still be friends, right?"
Gwydion grinned. "Of course, buddy!" He weakly tapped a shoulder. Adam raised an eyebrow. "I.. uh.. don´t want mixed signals."
"Interested in someone?" Adam asked dryly.
"A little. Her name is Perdita and I don´t know where she is," Gwydion sighed. "But I´ve had Heloise´s food and it´s good so come on, let´s go!"
"Keep me on your shoulder!" Carmen hissed as the two men took off at a jog.
