Broken

The breeze across my face,
With the sunlight glittering in my eyes.
Hearing the sweet heart beat,
Slowly ticking away the time.
Life as sweet as the yellow daisies,
That dance in the winds of gentle strength.

Looking outward,
Through the falling petals of pastels.
Laughing and running,
Amidst the blossoming flowers.
Falling, giggling, happily,
Along the beauty and the peace.

My eyes open,
My heart breaks.
Filth and darkness rule around,
Destroying the reality that was once.
